Grand Canyon Trust is accepting applications for two interns, who will work three months and earn $19 per hour. The Save the Confluence intern and a Grand Canyon intern, based in Flagstaff, will work in the Grand Canyon region and the Navajo Nation.
“The Save the Confluence intern will organize alongside Save the Confluence grassroots organizers to increase younger peoples’ awareness of and advocacy efforts around the Little Colorado River,” said Amanda Podmore, Grand Canyon Trust Grand Canyon director. “The Grand Canyon intern will contribute to protection of the Little Colorado River by organizing an aerial flight over the Little Colorado River and its confluence with the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon for Native youth.”
The application deadline is 5 p.m. Friday March 4. The expected start date is May 16 and ends August 5, 2022.
