In a powerful new video released Thursday, Robert Redford speaks out against a proposed tourist resort and tramway to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, at the confluence of the Colorado and Little Colorado rivers.
“I stand by and support Save the Confluence,” Redford says in the video.
“A group of courageous Navajo families who are fighting to save their sacred connection to their land. They welcome the opportunities for economic prosperity, but not at the expense of their culture.”
Redford, is an American actor, director, producer, businessman, environmentalist, and philanthropist. Redford is the founder of the Sundance Institute.
