“Voices of the Grand Canyon:” Nikki Cooley (Diné), Jim Enote (Zuni), Loretta Jackson-Kelly (Hualapai), Coleen Kaska, (Havasupai), and Leigh Kuwanwisiwma (Hopi) ask you to see the Grand Canyon as so much more than a national park and as a homeland to Native peoples.

As Grand Canyon National Park prepares to celebrate its 104th anniversary on Feb. 26, a new 12-minute film, “Voices of the Grand Canyon” debuts.

Told by Native people, through the lens of filmmaker Deidra Peaches, and alongside Native producers, composers, and artists, “Voices of the Grand Canyon” shares stories of movement and migration, hardship and struggle, origins, reverence, and awe.
