Radio Healer: Indigenous Re-Imagined Ceremony

Enjoy an immersive performance by Phoenix, Arizona indigenous artist collective Radio Healer at Pueblo Grande Museum.

Radio Healer is a Native American and Xicano artist collective formed by Edgar Cardenas, Raven Kemp, Fernando Lino, Cristóbal Martínez, Meredith Martinez, and Randy Kemp. As a group, these hacker-artists create electronic tools, which they use with traditional indigenous instruments to perform indigenous reimagined ceremony. Comprised of moving images, tools, regalia, performance, and sound, Radio Healer bends media to position visual and sonic metaphors that make the familiar strange.

Beginning at 7 p.m. with an opportunity to meet and interact with Radio Healer at the end, all performances are free and open to the public. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Presented by Pueblo Grande Museum, and City of Phoenix with support by CALA Alliance and ASU Art Museum.
