One World, Many Voices, Two Languages

Come listen to the ancient sounds of the Aztec at Pueblo Grande Museum during the special performance One World, Many Voices…Two Languages on January 22, 2017 from 2 to 3 p.m. Enjoy a bilingual musical performance and presentation on Aztec-style instruments by Canyon Records recording artist Xavier Quijas Yxayotl.

During his performance Xavier will share stories on the cultural significance of the instruments and how they were used. He will also provide demonstrations of each instrument, many hand made by Xavier himself. This presentation will offer a unique view of indigenous and Mexican culture rarely seen in the U.S. Following the program, the audience will have an opportunity to ask questions about the instruments used in the performance, meet Xavier, and purchase his music.

Tickets for this event are available online at pueblogrande.com for $10 in advance, or $12 the day of at the Museum; children under age 6 are free with a reserved ticket. Discounts for Museum Members available.

This presentation is an accompanying program to the premiere exhibit One World, Many Voices: The Artistry of Canyon Records at Pueblo Grande Museum. As a Canyon Records artist, images of Xavier Quijas Yxayotl are featured in the exhibit which is included with regular Museum admission.
