Join us as we celebrate Grand Canyon BIRDS! In addition to the National Park Service Centennial, we will also be celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Condor Reintroduction and the 100th Anniversary of the Migratory Bird Treaty!

Bird Walks
8 am – 12 pm Water Tanks Bird Walk* (limited to 12 people, bring water & snacks)
9 am – 10 am Rim Trail Bird Walk*
11 am – 12 pm Rim Trail Bird Walk*
* Meeting at GCVC, please arrive early and have iNaturalist downloaded on your smartphones, ipads, tablets etc.
Events & Talks
10 am- 2 pm Bird Fair at Grand Canyon Visitor Center plaza
Join AZ Audubon Society, Peregine Fund, Zuni Aviary, Jay’s Bird Barn, Talkin’ Birds Radio and Adobe Mountain Wildlife Center and learn all about birds!
12 pm–4 pm Hawk Identification Yaki Point
2 pm–2:30 pm Grand Canyon: An Important Bird Area- AZ Audubon Society
3 pm-3:30 pm The Importance of Birding-Ray Brown
7:00 pm Ray Brown’s Talkin’ Birds Evening Program, McKee Amphitheater
Sunday September 11th
6:30 am–7:30 am Talkin’ Birds Radio Program Hopi House platform in Village
12 pm –4 pm Hawk Identification Yaki Point
