Recreationists want to recreate, miners want to mine, ranchers want to graze, conservationists want to protect, and some lawmakers want to turn over “certain public lands” to the states.
But are all interested voices being heard by public land managers? Or are only the loudest or the richest or the most well-organized voices influencing their decision-making? What would more diverse public participation in the management of our public lands look like?
Future of the Colorado Plateau forums are designed for maximum input by participants. Presenters are limited to 10 minutes each.
